Savage Grilling: Florian Back in the Crossfire

The follow-up portion Savage Justice's interview of Florian Guererro - who recently interviewed me on his own blog, Florian's Insensitivity Training - follows below.

I appreciate Florian's courage and honesty and will have plenty more to say about his responses in the post-interview section.
JB: Many point to Venezuela's Missions - Mission Mercal, Mission Barrio Adentro I & II, and Mission Robinson among others - and their willingness to share their nation's massive oil wealth with the poor of the world as reason for its support. What are your thoughts on these programs and, specifically, on the Bolivarian Revolution?

It's interesting how a Marxist like Hugo "comandante" Chavez loves to profess his love of the poor and attempts to do so with his various petrol missions. I'm not amused and neither are a lot of Venezuelans living in his supposed utopia. Anybody who steals will lie. Chavez has stolen thousands upon thousands of acres of land from people in his "land reform" who legally owned property in Venezuela--some for many generations. Sure, Venezuela has large oil deposits and has been willing to sell them for a fraction of the cost to people at the bottom of the Totem Pole--but his alterior motives are revealed. By showing the peasant classes that he "cares" for them it has started a shock-wave of Leftist government takeovers in Latin America. Chavez is way superior than Castro is at knowing how the Political game works in Latin America. Bolivia is a prime example. It's the poorest nation in Latin America and they have just elected Evo Morales. They are following Chavez's Venezuelan policies exactly the way any good communist would: Nationalizing the energy market, confiscating foreign businesses and properties, eliminating all foreign investments and creating monopolies nationwide. He claims to want to eliminate poverty, but after many years the vast majority of Venezuelans are still living in poverty. Poverty will never be eliminated in the world, no matter what form of government is in place, and Hugo Chavez cannot convince me if he cannot convince himself or his people.

JB: What are your thoughts on Luis Posada Carriles? Is he a terrorist? What about the School of the America's and Alpha-66?

He's scum--pure and simple. He's also a terrorist no doubt about it. Refer back to my definition of terrorism. While his motives may have been justified in his own mind--he should have targeted Castro instead of so many innocents.

JB: When was the modern-day state of Israel created?

1948 as stated by the UN mandate. The nation of Israel (the Israeli and Hebrew people themselves), on the other hand, has existed since well before 2000 BC--beginning with their founder Abraham.

JB: Since the 2nd Intifada began on 29 September 2000, 3,895 Palestinians and 1,084 Israelis have been killed. Among those dead include 121 Israeli children 722 Palestinian children. Over the same period, 7,633 Israelis and 29,865 Palestinians have been injured; more than 4000 Palestinian homes have been destroyed and more than 60 Israeli-only settlements created. Given these numbers, who do you believe to be the aggressor in the conflict over Palestine?

The cycle of violence in Israel is really very simple. Here's what happens all the time: 1) A Palestinian detonates a bomb and kills Israeli's 2) Israel launches a counter-strike or retaliatory measure as they work with some Palestinian forces to maintain order. 3) The Palestinians launch more attacks in retaliation to Israel's "aggression" 4) Israel performs some covert opperations against PLO or Hamas leaders. 5) Truce or stalemate 6) Repeat steps 1-5

While numbers don't lie the wording of your question does. Israel is never the instigator of any military or violent clashes. It's always some hate-filled Palestinian wanting revenge or paradise with 72 virgins who begins the violence. If you look at how the intefada started, it was instegated by a loud rabble who protested Ariel Sharon's visit to the holy tomb. The Palestinians are their own worst enemy, they started this cycle of bloody violence--not the other way around.

JB: What is your take on the recent uproar over the story which reported that the Iranian government passed a law mandating Jews to wear armbands?

It smacks of 1938 Nazi Germany all over again, just in Iran this time. Jews aren't the only ones subject to this law in Iran either. Christians, Zorastrians, and Buddhists are as well. Ahmedinejad obviously has a nack for making waves and he's following his hero (Adolf Hitler) perfectly to a "T". Iran is a theocracy, we all know how much people on your side of the aisle love to roll Christianity and the inquisition together. Theocracies stink. They infringe on everybody's right eventually. I'm for a student overthrow of the current Iranian regime, but unfortunately that will never happen as the mullahs have most of the population brainwashed. It's a shame another political leader has to inject religious prejudice into his country again--the results are always bloody.

JB: What are your thoughts on the the Sadrist movement in Iraq and Hizbullah in Lebanon? How does their posesssion of arms shift the balance of power in the region?

Scary to say the least. The Sadrist movement caught the US military totally off-guard and is a thorn in a side to this day. Hopefully something can be worked out soon--preferably a total annhiliation of the Sadrist leadership by Iraqi and US forces. If not I forsee this being a problem for years to come. Hezbollah in Lebanon is quite surprising. I would have thought that the Lebanese government would have dealt with them by now. Lebanon is a Christian majority nation, but their government lacks the means or will to fight Hezbollah. In any case, this area of the Middle East has been the center of instability and tribal fighting for centuries. Where was the balance of power before? Whoever has the bigger guns I would assume.

JB: My data on the world's prison populations was correct - China has several hundred-thousand less prisoners. That being said, I found your thoughts on the drug war interesting. How do you think such a policy - decriminalization - would influence Uncle Sam's foreign policy abroad: in particular, the $3,000,000,000 in aid we give each year to Colombia. How would it affect the racial makeup of prisions?

First off, I will concede your point that the US has more of a prison population than China--at least according to what China distributes in their UN reports. The money we give in aid to Colombia and any other nation on the so-called drug war is money down the toilet. It hasn't worked, it isn't working and it will never work---not as long as you have idiots addicted to drugs. You want to fight the drug war and win, it's quite simple. Eliminate the demand. You eliminate the tens of thousands (or higher) of addicts that consume this garbage and you eliminate the supply of drugs being funneled in, along with the other sleazy behavior brought about by the drug trade. This money would be put to way better use here at home with our own people. There is a huge need for schools, roads, families, even social programs here--spending this money here at home would better serve our nation than wasting it on corrupt politicians overseas who fight a half-ass war on drugs. On your last point, I'm not sure if it would affect the racial makeup of prisons--but it would be much better spent prosecuting and encarcerating the violent criminals than the non-violent drug traffickers.

JB: Since you don't attribute it to systemic White supremacy, how do you explain the vast discrepancies in income, unemployment, incarceration, health care coverage, infant mortality, lifespan, debt, and home ownership between Black and white people?

If it were due to White supremacy, than why do Asians have better statistics than whites on all of the above mentioned? Plainly, Blacks (for the most part--and yes I'm generalizing) have come to live in and expect this "nanny-state" form of government that helps them along the way from womb to tomb. Nothing is guaranateed in life to anybody--yet a lot believe they are entitled to high salaries, health insurance, home-ownership etc. Good things do not come to those who wait and do nothing. Good things come to those who apply themselves and work hard for it. The achievers so to say. If you compare and contrast Black families and White familes for the most part, Whites have a higher percentage of two-parent households. Blacks have a higher percentage of illegitimacy and abortion. Whites tend to work harder in school, blacks look at studying as "acting white". So the patterns begin to emerge and instead of doing what must be done to achieve their goals, a lot of blacks (with no male role-models) begin to define for themselves what is important and what isn't (the latest 50 cent album as opposed to a book). All of these would take too long to tackle one by one by a lot of it has to come down to attitude. A Black with a racial chip on their shoulder will be far less likely to succeed in life than a Black without one. A White who studies hard and applies themselves in school and at work will succeed far better than a White who doesn't.

JB: How do you explain that several of the supposed 911 hijackers were alive and well after the attack? Why did General Mahmoud Ahmad, head of the Pakistani ISI, who met with Bob Graham and Porter Goss on the morning of 911, give Muhammed Atta $100,000 before the attack?

Oh really? Where were the 9/11 hijackers after the attacks if they were alive? What would Atta do with $100,000 if he was going to die that same day? Do you realise how insane your questions sounds?

JB: What are your thoughts on how the 2006 & 2008 election cycles will play out? Would you consider voting for another party or candidate for President? If so, under what conditions?

Dems will take the house in 2006. Republicans will perhaps keep the Senate, but they should lose that too. The only reason for any conservative to vote Republican is that the alternative would be much worse. Right now there aren't any true conservatives in the Senate--or White House for that matter, and I wouldn't fault any conservative who just plain out abstained from voting in 2006. 2008 is far off, but I would bet that Republicans lose everything else they've lost since they've morally betrayed all conservative voters with government spending and illegal immigration. I would definitely vote for another party or candidate for President. Libertarian or even Green Party if the Republicans get any more out of control than they already are.

Bush Meets with anti-Iranian Propagandist at the White House

The wholly discredited piece of anti-Iranian propaganda first published several weeks ago in the Canadian National Post that resonated throughout various right-wing propaganda organs (New York Post, Washington Times, Jerusalem Post) took another interesting twist today when the Financial Times reported that the man who fabricated the story out of whole cloth - Amir Taheri - met with BringItOn Bush at the White House on Tuesday.
US President George W. Bush and Tony Blair, the UK prime minister, have received separate background briefings from Iranian opposition activists, including one visitor to the White House on Tuesday who caused a storm earlier this month by reporting Iran had passed a law requiring Jews to wear special identification...

White House officials said Amir Taheri, a London-based former editor, was among a group of experts invited to discuss Iraq and the region with Mr Bush.
Taheri affiliates himself with an organization called Benador Associates that specializes in hiring out right-wing cranks to give speeches and write op-eds serving a political agenda.

One might suspect that the Sambo Rice's State Department has contracted Benador to create propaganda as part of their $75,000,000 propaganda campaign to demonize the Iranian government by likening them to the Nazis. Those lusting for war no doubt believe that such a campaign, if managed effectively, could establish a pretext to justify an attack on Iran. That would explain why, even after getting fingered as a prevaricating hack, Taheri's voice - like Chalabi's before - still has a receptive audience.

Apartheid Israel's 'Car-Bomb War' Against the Lebanese People Continues

Apartheid Israel likes to assassinate Lebanese people with car bombs. This fettish, coupled with the Lebanese resistance's willingness to defend itself against Zionist aggression by force of arms, could soon trigger an escalation of violence around Lebanon's southern border and throughout the region.

Apartheid Israel's most recent car bomb attack, launched on Friday, killed, "a leader of the Palestinian guerrilla group Islamic Jihad and his brother were both killed by a car bomb" according to AP. The piece continues:
Mahmoud Majzoub, a member of the group's policy-making Shura Council and its leader in Sidon, 40 kilometres south of Beirut, was walking with his brother, Nidal, near the central square of this coastal city when a parked car was detonated by remote control, security officials said.
"No one has an interest in assassinating him except the Israeli Mossad," Abu Imad Rifai - head of Islamic Jihad in Lebanon - told the Associated Press Friday.

Eulogizing the Majzoub brothers before the procession of 5,000 mourners, Rifai vowed that the Lebanese resistance "will stick to the choice of resistance and struggle." He continued, "The coming response will be hard, in Haifa, Tel Aviv and every spot occupied by the Zionist enemy."

Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora also condemned the killings, saying "Israel is the prime suspect." He then proceeded to call on Apartheid Israel to withdrawal from the Shebaa Farms area of Lebanon which they illegally occupy and urged Lebanese people "to unite in their solidarity," saying that Israel "will try by any means to destabilize this unity."

In response to the assassinations, the Lebanese resistance launched a rocket barrage that penetrated far into occupied Palestine, raising alarm bells about the sophistication of the new missiles and the frequency with which Hizbullah and other resistance groups can launch similar such barrages in the future.

Exposing their complete servility to Zionist aggression, both the UN and Zionist collaborators from the March 14 Movement ignored Apartheid Israel's role in assassinating two men and blamed Lebanon for the escalation of violence - hardly a surprise given the role both have played in attempting to discredit the resistance and move Lebanese politics to ally with Apartheid Israel.

In response to this unprecedented rocket barrage, the Zionist colony launched what it called, "its toughest attack since it ended a 22-year occupation of South Lebanon in 2000."

Following this attack, which occurred in clear violation of Lebanese sovereignty, Hizbullah promised a response. According to the Jerusalem Post:
Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah threatened vengeance after the Israel Air Force bombed the movement's Lebanese bases on Sunday in retaliation for a pre-dawn Katyusha barrage on an IDF base near Safed. At least 10 Hizbullah operatives were killed and dozens were wounded in the reprisal strikes.

"I can confirm that the north of occupied Palestine is within the range of our missiles," threatened Nasrallah.
So long as Apartheid Israel continues to occupy a part of Lebanon, the resistance of the Lebanese people will continue. The Zionist colony undoubtedly knows this, but they hold onto Shebaa Farms because of its strategic value in the region. But predictably, since they can parlay this land dispute into a wider war that engulfs the entire region, Apartheid Israel prefers to hold the parcel of land than have peace.

The difficulty Apartheid Israel faces in trying to sustain their occupation of Lebanon, however, is the growing sophistication and the growing encirclement their settler colony faces in every direction. In Iran, Syria, in Lebanon and in occupied Palestine they now face a unified, committed force that seeks the liberation of Palestine from Zionist occupation.

The longer Apartheid Israel waits, the stronger the forces united against it become. Because they lose strength every day, it serves their interest - in a profound and serious way - to start this regional conflict sooner rather than later.

We must be wary, too, as the organic connection between Hizbullah and Iran offers them a gateway to do just that.

More Cannon Fodder Shipped to Iraq

So much for troop withdrawals anytime soon. The pro-war New York Times reports on Tuesday that:
The top American commander in Iraq has decided to move reserve troops now deployed in Kuwait into the volatile Anbar Province in western Iraq to help quell a rise in insurgent attacks there, two American officials said Monday.
Sent from Kuwait into the mujahideen stronghold of Ramadi where, according to the Washington Post:
Marines have temporarily suspended new embedding of journalists in Ramadi. Time magazine, U.S. News & World Report and the Associated Press, all with embedded reporters already in Ramadi last week, quoted both officers and the enlisted Marines at sandbag firing positions as saying that Ramadi had to have reinforcements to do more than fight insurgents to a draw around the town hall. Time quoted officers as estimating it would take three brigades, up from one.
The military have stopped 'embedding' reporters in Ramadi for the same reason as they've essentially forbidden them to travel anywhere outside their hotels in Baghdad: they may report on how badly Uncle Sam has lost the war. The New York Times article continues:
The brigade comes from the Army's First Armored Division, which has been deployed in Kuwait for months as a reserve in case conditions in Iraq deteriorated. One official said the additional troops would be deployed at multiple hotspots in Anbar Province, a Sunni insurgent stronghold west of Baghdad.
This latest deployment again demonstrates that nothing short of total defeat of the occupier army at the hands of the valiant resistance in Iraq will end the conflict.

Cut & Run or Stay & Die. That's the only real choice Uncle Sam has in Iraq.

Nazi Pope Returns to Auschwitz, Scene of the Crime

On Sunday, in an act of historical revisionism for the ages, the Pope - a former Hitler Youth, Luftwaffenhelfer, and Nazi soldier - visited Auschwitz.

Ironically, some of his plans for the day had to be scrapped. The Independent reported that, "The Vatican dropped plans to drive the Pope through the gates of Auschwitz, after organisers pointed out that only SS members ever drove through the camp gates; prisoners had to walk."

If the Vatican had any decency, which it does not, it should have gone ahead with their staged photo op and driven him through the gates, thereby accurately presenting Pope Ratzinger as a Nazi. Given his sordid past, it would have been far less revisionist than the portrayal of him as a lover of Jews.

Apartheid Israel Protects its Zionist Stooge

Consistent with the campaign led by Apartheid Israel and Uncle Sam to transform Mahmoud Abbas into Dictator of Occupied Palestine, Pro-Apartheid Ha'aretz reports that:
On Thursday it was announced that Israel authorized the transfer of a shipment of arms and ammunition for the equipping of the Presidential Guard. Abbas is now asking that Israel not oppose further assistance that will permit the arming of a much larger force....

The request to expand and arm the Presidential Guard, which currently numbers 1,500-2,000 men, deployed in Ramallah and Gaza, was put forward for the first time on the eve of the formation of the government headed by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, about a month ago.
Abbas knows that he owes his position and everything that comes with it to Apartheid Israel. In turn, he has shown his willingness to vanquish himself politically for the sake of the Zionist colony. The article continues:
Abbas suggested that the Presidential Guard be deployed, if the need arises, to the northern Gaza Strip in order to prevent the launching of Qassam rockets into Israel.

The Palestinian leader estimated that for such operations to be effective the presidential guard needs to grow to about 10,000 men.
These articles and the actions Abbas has taken prior to them leave no doubt where he stands on the question of resistance versus colaboration and apartheid. The Times of London reported on Sunday that:
Forces loyal to Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, are preparing for an onslaught against the military wing of the Islamist rival group Hamas in a desperate attempt to sustain his waning power.
Those opposed to his collaboration with Apartheid Israel have the advantage of knowing about this plan. The question for us - for those who stand with Palestine against their occupiers - is how to best challenge it.

Uncle Sam's GI Joes Trigger Riots in Kabul

Rioting erupted yesterday in Afghanistan after a gang of Uncle Sam's GI Joes "deliberately" plowed their Humvee into several cars during rush hour at a busy Kabul intersection. The AP reported that "the death toll from the unrest rose to 11, most of them from gunshot wounds, according to three city hospitals. More than 100 people were wounded. Up to five people were killed in the accident, but it wasn't clear whether these deaths were among the tolls the hospitals reported."

In other words after the wreck, the occupier army went postal, setting off a massacre by opening fire on rock-throwing protestors and onlookers who had gathered. In response, the government imposed martial law on Kabul.

[Watch an AP video of the rioting.]

Resistance to the NATO-led occupation of Afghanistan has reached its highest level since Uncle Sam launched its unprovoked war against the people of that nation during the fall of 2001. Attacks like these, which greatly intensify the anti-NATO resentment and further delegitimate the Unocal Karzi's puppet stewardship over the country.

Murderous Barbarian Sharon Still Sucking Life from a Straw

The pro-Apartheid Jerusalem Post reported that Sabra and Shatila Sharon was moved from Hadassah-University Hospital to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer Hospital on Sunday.

"Sharon has been hospitalized at Hadassah since suffering a massive stroke on January 4, and from now will receive care in Sheba's department for respiratory care and rehabilitation," who gives him "virtually no chance of regaining consciousness."

Everyone celebrates 'Memorial Day' differently: for me, I will honor the fact that Arial Sharon, savage butcher of thousands of innocent Palestinians, still lies comatose, unable to order any more death and destruction.

Apartheid Israeli Occupiers Assault Pregnant Woman and Shoot Up Ambulance

The terrorism of Apartheid Israel's Army in the occupied Palestinian city of Nablus demonstrate how the racist expresion of hatred towards Palestinians expresses itself daily. Their latest atrocity - attacking a pregnant woman inside an ambulance - shows how clearly that racism intermingles with Apartheid Israel's ongoing cleansing of Palestinians from Palestine. The Palestine News Network provides many of the details omitted by the wire account:
A 21 year old woman nearly lost her baby while stuck in an ambulance this morning. Israeli soldiers occupying Nablus held the Palestinian ambulence for hours in the eastern part of the city... Eyewitnesses said that it was a “miracle” that prevented the woman and 45 year old driver Jitit Anton “from being gunned down.” Israeli soldiers opened direct fire on the ambulance early Saturday.

Israeli soldiers... rear-ended the ambulance and forced the driver and patient from [it]. No eyewitness report falters in describe the ensuing beatings and insults as the woman cried out in labor pain. She lay on the ground as she could no longer stand the pain as Israeli soldiers tore through the contents of the ambulance for an hour.
The PNN account went on to describe the matter-of-fact way in which fellow Palestinians in Nablus viewed this attack, indicating their lack of shock or surprise by such viciousness and brutality among their occupiers. They realize that attacks like these are standard operating procedure for Apartheid Israel.

And we must always understand talk of 'peaceful solutions' and Palestinian 'terrorism' in light of these actions. There cannot be an absence of terrorism in Palestine until the occupying army leaves.

Uncle Sam's Human Rights Hypocrisy Exposed

AP reports today that Uncle Sam just approved a $1,700,000,000 financial aid pacakage to Egypt, one of the worlds' most flagrant human rights abusers, that includes "$200 million intended for new weapons and equipment for the Egyptian military" to help prop up Sam's Sepoy, Hosni Mubarak.

Egypt has received this aid for more than 25 years as a bribe from Uncle Sam in exchange for Egypt's docile acceptance of Apartheid Israel's occupation of Palestine. So it is less a news story and more a reminder of Uncle Sam's hyporisy and relativism.

George Galloway's Interesting Hypothetical

British RESPECT MP George Gallway has again sent shockwaves through the British bourgeois political establishment by reportedly telling GQ Magazine that a suicide attack that killed Tony Blair "would be morally justified.... And morally equivalent to ordering the deaths of thousands of innocent people in Iraq - as Blair did."

He added in the same interview that, "I am not calling for it - but if it happened it would be of a wholly different moral order to the events of July 7. It would be entirely logical and explicable."

It presents an interesting question to those on Sam's Plantation who support the prison gulags, the death penalty, or Apartheid Isreal's right to assassinate any Palestinian leader they choose. What makes the life of Tony Blair - a man Comrade Chavez called "an unconditional subordinate to the crazy man" - worth any more than someone like Fred Hampton, who the state can kill without batting an eye?

Why does Apartheid Israel have the right to kill anyone they want at any time without so much as arresting a person, but Galloway is taken to the woodshed for poiting out the moral relativism that plagues so many on the Plantation and in Europe?

Mujahadden Strike NATO's Afghan Occupation

The Daily Times of Pakistan quotes a Western wire-service report on a huge outbreak of violence reporting today in occupied Afghanistan, corroborating accounts elsewhere that a mass movement which "could transcend a simple Taliban-led insurgency to evolve into a powerful Islamic movement," has begun to intensify their resistance - especially in the southern region of the country - against NATO's Afghan occupation.

Using inflated body counts that characterized Uncle Sam's attack on Vietnam, the report begins:
Sixty Taliban and five Afghan security forces members were killed in a new clash in Afghanistan on Wednesday as the US-led coalition defended itself against mounting criticism of civilian deaths.

The suspected insurgents were killed in a “fierce” six-hour battle and subsequent clean-up operation in Uruzgan late on Tuesday, said a top Afghan general and the coalition.

The fighting started when a joint Afghan and coalition combat patrol returned fire after several Taliban rebels hiding in a nearby compound shot at them, said a coalition statement. “Afghan and coalition forces beat back the attack with heavy machine gun fire and forced the attackers to retreat. Enemy fighters then attempted to reinforce with additional militants from two nearby compounds,” it said.
As one knows from following events in Afghanistan closely, Human Rights groups and eyewitnesses on the ground almost always immediately challenge the veracity of these announcements by NATO and their collaborator allies. And such is the case here:
Afghanistan’s main human rights group said that witnesses and villagers claimed between 25 and 30 civilians were killed in the strike, which it condemned as a “clear” violation of human rights. Villagers have said the toll included children, with several homes destroyed by bombs and scores of animals killed...

US military spokesman Col Tom Collins also apologised to the victims’ families, saying "we never wanted this to happen."
Of course, the reality is that Uncle Sam's GI Joes did intend for 'this' to happen. Otherwise, they would not have dropped bombs on innocent civilians.

Savage Grilling: Florian on the Hotseat (Part 1)

This is the first of a two-part Savage Justice interview of Florian Guererro - who recently interviewed me on his own blog, Florian's Insensitivity Training - follows below.

Guerrero, a 29 year old resident of Atlanta, started his blog as a bourgeois rejoinder "to get back at all of these candy crybabies out there who feel the need to scream, cry, and shake their rears at the rest of us when they feel offended by the truth."

While Florian and I disagree on virtually everything, I appreciate his courage in stepping up to the plate and his willingness to make an effort at rational dialogue. As a revoluionary, too, I think understanding views like his adds to our understanding of the political and social forces on the Plantation.
JB: Explain, in your view, the reason for the recent political sea change in South America, particularaly around questions of land and property ownership.

FG: Latin America has been in a declining period for well over 40 years. There are many factors that have led to this, but most notably of which is the corrupt politicians leading these nations. In every single Latin American nation there has been an aristocracy that has been at the forefront of each government. Sure they call themselves "democracies", but in reality these nations have been nothing more than an elitist-aristocratic government order left over from the old colonial days of Spain. There are only two-classes in Latin America, the poor and the rich. The rich, obviously are the ones in power and struggling to retain this power. When these nations had their revolutions, they weren't really revolutions in the sense of changing for the better--really they just exchanged one corrupt tyrant far away from home for another much closer. I hate to inject race into the Latin American political climate, but it just cannot be avoided. Honestly, after spending about 2 years living in Mexico I can say that the racism there is infinitely worse than you or your comrades claim it to be here. The indigenous people of Latin America are hardly ever integrated well, most are uneducated and speak broken spanish and have nobody really looking out for them. Mestizos also look down on the indigenous with disdain. As recently as the early 20th century, white europeans outnumbered the indigenous people as well as mestizos. Since then, the indigenous have grown considerably in size and political strength as they now heavily outnumber european descendants. After living in oppressive conditions for centuries the political left has appealed greatly to these people. When a politician claims to be "for the poor" the peasant population rally's behind such an individual. Of course, now the key question is "what have you done for me lately?" Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, Argentina, and perhaps on July 2nd, Mexico will all be under hard-line leftist leadership. It's not a good trend, especially from an economic standpoint--but having lived there for a couple years I would ask: What alternative could you possibly expect after decades of living in oppressed poverty? Speaking from the point of property and land ownership, again this goes back to the two class system in these nations. Had these nations had competent leadership all these years and utilized their abundant natural resources to the fullest of their potential, none of this leftward political tilt would have happened.

JB: Describe what you perceive to be the current situation in Iraq. Do thesame for Iran?

FG: Despite what the press declares as a failure, I believe Iraq--though difficult, will eventually decide that enough is enough and eventually unite. It wasn't a mistake to go in and the intelligence wasn't as faulty as most people realise. The only major failure the Bush Administration have done is that they didn't foresee the sectarian and ethnic violence between the Kurds, Sunnis, Shiites and Azeris. Perhaps a better plan would have been to carve the country up into 4 zones separating them by ethnic-tribal and religious zones. As for Iran, I cannot see anything positive coming out of the current situation there. The hardline President has obviously decided to grab the world by the groin as he continues to make daily threats to the US and Israel. It's also known that China and Russia have a big stake in Iran. This reminds me a lot of 1917 when the nations of the world were drawing up on their alliances. Iran is perhaps the biggest threat to world peace since Nazi Germany. I'm almost convinced war with them is inevitable. Either Israel strikes them first--taking out their nuke facilities, or Israel gets hit in a sneak attack by Iran once they have atomic weapons in their possession. Look for something bad to happen within a year.

JB: You have said that "walls and Empire's are a good thing." Can you please expand on this statement, specifically with regard to the question of who benefits from them?

FG: Of course. I don't believe in the brotherhood of man, nor that the world belongs to everybody. In the past tribes kept and protected their territories and nations defended their borders. Why should this be any different today? On our southern border, we have a nation of people who are forced to leave their corrupt nations to try to live and work here. They come here demanding rights, privilages, government programs and Spanish services. It's an invasion, and there is no other way to define it. When a group of people who are culturally, linguistically, philosophically and ethnically different attempt to change the demographics of the nation they occupy it can be called nothing else. If one cannot defend their own home then what is left to defend? A Great Wall of America is one of the best things that can really stem the flow of these illegal invaders. This is our nation and it's our right and privilage to defend it, as well as saw who can and cannot enter. Interestingly enough, these same people who paraded through our streets several weeks ago demanding citizenship and everything else, refuse to do the same in their own native countries. Refer back to my answer to question #1 for the main reason on that. Quite simply, their governments wouldn't put up with it, and it would be a Grande riot that would make Selma look like a preschool party. Hence, they come here.

JB: Should the more then 300,000 persons displaced by Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath have the Right to Return to their community? Should Palestinians whose lands have been confiscated since 1948 have that same right? Why or why not?

FG:Bad analogy. The 300,000 displaced people by Katrina have every right to live wherever the hell they want to live in America. If it's New Orleans, then I'm all for it--and not soon enough. "Palestinians", as you call them, have no such claim to Israel. The Palestinians are leftovers of the the Arab-Turkic-Gypsy invaders of the Muslim Jihadi conquests of the 11th-13th centuries. Israeli's lived in and ruled Israel for over 1900 years before they were eventually conquered and spread out by the Romans in 135 CE. Greco-Romans ruled over Palestine for the next 550 years until the first wave of Islamic Arab invasions began. After that, there were constant wars between the Byzantines and Arabs over the territory until finally the Arabs held onto Jerusalem and Palestine for good after 1400. Jews are the original inhabitants of Israel and it's their ancestrial land. Palestinians have no such claim or right to Israel, their ancestrial lands lie in Saudi Arabia or further east. Of course, all peoples of the world that are alive today have in some way confiscated land they live and occupy. It's one of the sins of man. I reckon nobody can absolutely claim their land is theirs without first declaring they also confiscated it from somebody before. However, Jews have a claim of over 2600 years over the Palestinian Arab-Gypsies, hence Israel belongs to them.

JB: You once said: "['Illegal' Immigrants] even claim that without them we would starve! How liberating to know that I'm incapable of making my own sandwich or grilling my own steak." How do you understand the social composition of the workforce on Uncle Sam's plantation? In particular, what role do you see immigrants playing in it now and what changes do you propose?

FG: For anybody to say that if one group of people's work ceased than another group would starve is nonsense. It just shows pure ignorance. There is no such thing as a job an American "will not do". Americans have always been the hardest and most dedicated workers. 25% of illegals work in the food industry and most illegal aliens work in that sector because that is where the work is for them. They are low-skilled laborors and hence that is what they can do. Immigrants have always worked hard and I'm in no way trying to insult their work ethic, but as the technology advances I forsee the need to hire them much less. For example, most agriculture harvesting can be done mechanically--the reason hired hands are used is because it's more cost-effective. The American economy, huge as it is, does have a limit. There will be a bottoming out soon enough and a lot of these immigrants will go home when that happens.

JB: Why do you feel that Uncle Sam has more people - both overall and per capita - imprisoned than any other country?

FG: Fairly complicated, but there are many reasons. Are you sure China doesn't have more than us? I believe they have a whole lot more. I'll assume you mean in the western world. Fair enough. First, we have a huge population--almost 300 million. With that amount you're always going to find a few bad apples. Secondly, some of our laws have to change. Most criminals are in prison for non-violent drug offenses. As a semi-believer in Libertarian principles, I think we could cut the prison population in half by making it less of a crime to possess drugs or use them--or perhaps adopt Holland's stance on drugs. Either way, cut the non-violent drug offenders out of the system. Lastly, enforce the death penalty for all violent murderers and rapists. Nobody should be on death row for 18 years. Once a guilty verdict is handed down, the guilty party should be quickly escorted to the execution chamber and put out of their misery. Appeals waste tax payer money and time, and in today's court-system hardly anybody gets wrongly convicted. One last point, more people per capita imprisoned isn't in my opinion, a bad thing. People need to be responsible for their actions and pay the price for what they've done--sadly in today's immediategratification society hardly anybody sees that.

JB. Were you the Prime Minister of Israel, how would you respond to the Palestinian Prime Minister's guarantee of peace in exchange for an Israeli retreat to the '67 borders.

FG: Hypothetical of course. I wouldn't trust the Palestinian PM with my laundry. Thousands of suicide attacks on innocent Israeli's over the years have spoken more loudly than any sweet-talk the Palestinian PM could ever say. Olmert would have to be a complete idiot to believe in this proposal. Since when have the Palestinians kept their word? Why should we believe them now? If I were the PM of Israel, I'd take it a step further: One more attack on Israel or it's citizens and all Palestinians living within Israeli borders will be massively deported.

JB: On September 11, how do you account for the collapse of Building 7?

FG: I don't really remember the account so much of Buidling #7 because the focus was all on the WTC. However, from what I have read the collapse of the south tower caused #7 to go under. In any case, the area covered by the WTC's was enormous, any adjacent buildings were going to be destroyed once the towers were.

JB: You have said, "I might add that all western nations have become more submissive to the whims of the sensitive people from around the world--most notably those from the failed civilizations of Africa and Asia who may be offended by the valid rants of the native-born westerners." Please elaborate on your characterization of 'failed' in reference to the people of Africa and Asia? How do you define 'native born westerners'?

FG: Sub-saharan African nations and most Middle-Eastern and Central Asian nations have failed because of the logistics and cultural progress (or lack thereof) in those nations. Almost every single country in the regions I metioned has never been tamed, and this level of lawlessness is what makes these countries the unstable ghetto's that they are today. These people hardly have remorse or the revoltion for death, the way we westerners do. Life isn't celebrated as it should be, hence the violence that pervades these cultures and they bring it to western nations when they migrate there. Native born westerners are people who were born and raised in western civilization. A belief in God, a belief and celebration for the individual, a belief in free markets, a belief in law and order, an embrace of education, and a genuine respect for all human life. Native born westerners when talking about Europe refers to White Europeans only. Native born westerners when talking about Australia, America or Canada can mean anybody born and raised in these nations and the beliefs of western principles.

JB: Do you feel that African slavery and the genocide of those indigenous to Sam's plantation impacts society today?

FG: Not as much as people with your mindset would like us to believe. As a matter of fact, not at all. Sure, some people might hold grudges or disgust at what happened 4 or 5 generations ago, but it hardly impacts society the way most liberals and reparationists think it does. The truth is, nobody that owned slaves is alive today, and neither is anybody that was a slave. The militants that believe in reparations or retributions really have no idea what they are talking about. When you ask me this question, I just have to see that the Secretary of State is a Black woman, that the best athletes in this country are Blacks, that the CEO's of many fortune 500 companies are also Blacks. If slavery still impacted society today--then none of these facts would be true.

JB: Define terrorism.

FG: Any act of violence that is perpetuated by a group of armed people against a group of unarmed civilians for political or military gain.

JB: Given the criticism of Marx and communism that ensued following my interview, I was hoping you could elaborate on a few of Marx's ideas to which you take greatest exception?

FG: I'm hardly a student of Marx, but I would have to say that the class warfare he supported was the main idea I take greatest exception to. Anytime there is a fight between the have's and have nots, blood will be spilled. Marx is indirectly responsible for the Bolshevik revolution and many other uprisings, of which the body count is in the tens of millions if not over 100 million. I don't believe that somebody, just because they have worked hard all of their life--owes me anything because I didn't. Most people get what they deserve out of life. Welfare and social programs are just code words for THEFT. I also have a firm belief in the divinity and existance of God, Marx--was an atheist.

JB: In his 1938 essay "On the Character of the Coming War," Trotsky wrote the following lines about about Uncle Sam and I'd like your response: "The United States, owing to her almost total possession of an entire continent with inexhaustible natural wealth, and owing to favorablehistorical conditions, has extended her sway over the world very “peacefully” and “democratically,” if we disregard such trifles as the extermination of the Indians, the robbery of the choicest portions of Mexico, the crushing of Spain, the participation in the last war, and so on. This “idyllic” mode of exploitation belongs now, however, to the past. The rapid and fearful decay of American capitalism poses before it the question of life and death in a more and more obvious military form. From Wilson’s pacifist fourteen points, Hoover’s Quaker ARA ( the internationalphilanthropic organization ), Roosevelt’s reformist New Deal, the doctrine of isolation, the laws of absolute neutrality, etc., the United States is heading inevitably toward an imperialist explosion such as the world has never seen.

FG: Well, perhaps Trotsky instead of pointing fingers at America about her past sins should look at his county's own. Most notably, Russia and the USSR's treatment of minority Tartars, Ukrianians, Poles, Kazakh's, and indigenious tribes in it's east. Texas, NM, AZ and CA were hardly Mexico's "choicest portions". Most of Mexico's wealth lies in it's central and southern regions. Spain did itself in with it's treatment of Cubans and Puerto Ricans. I imagine if such a thing were going on today, any American President would have intervened on the behalf of the Islanders. While I will not agree that the USA has become an imperialist, we have become the superpower the world has never before seen that Trotsky feared. This is not a role that most Americans would have chosen either. We were sort of put there, partially because of Europe's ineptness towards competent world leadership and partially because of our tremendous success militarily andscientifically during WWII. We have become the world's police force, and unfortunately it has brought a high amount of animocity among the world's population. A damned if you do -- damned if you don't situation. Personally, I would prefer a much more isolationist international policy to try to fix matters here at home.

Savage Blogwatch: xymphora confirms Plamegate as a CIA set-up

xymphora has confirmed what seemed apparent for many months now - the entire Plame mess is a product of bureaucratic infighting on Sam's Plantation between the White House and the CIA.

And over at Another Day in Empire, Kurt Nimmo follows up on the most recent anti-Iranian Zionist Black-Op fabrication. It seems clear to me that this story's exposure as shameless, hackneed propaganda has completely boomeranged on those who felt it would advance their cause of war versus Iran. Instead of becoming a tipping point for war like the Iraqi "Babies in Incubator" fantasy back in 1990 or the more recent lies about Iraq's "Aluminum Tubes," this campaign has exposed the exposers as shameless liars while doing nothing to advance their cause of killing Iranians.

Hizbullah Leader Speaks on Anniversary of Apartheid Israel's Retreat from Lebanon

On the 6th Anniversary of Apartheid Israel's retreat from South Lebanon (except for Shebba Farms, which they still illegally occupy), the leader of Hizbullah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, spoke on the resistance group's preparation for dealing with the myriad threats against them. One such threat is the call by those Lebanese collaborating with Uncle Sam and Apartheid Israel to surrender their weapons.

"Some politicians think of the arms issue as a problem, while we believe the resistance's arms can be one element of a comprehensive defense strategy that does not exclude all other economic, social and cultural elements," he said in response to these critics calling for unilateral disarmament. The Daily Star goes on to report:
Nasrallah repeated on Tuesday his warning that the resistance had "thousands" of rockets capable of hitting Israel at any time. Speaking during a "resistance culture" conference in Beirut... Nasrallah said the resistance is the only feasible strategy for defending Lebanon against future and current Israeli threats and violations, even should the Shebaa Farms be liberated.

"The Israelis know we have rocket deterrent capabilities. If today I go on television to tell the residents of the (northern Israeli) settlements that they should go down to the shelters, they will all be in Tel Aviv in no time," he said.

Nasrallah said the resistance's views on how to build a realistic defense strategy for Lebanon depended on how Israel's weaknesses and strengths were calculated in comparison with those of Lebanon.

The cleric said Israel's weakest point lied on its northern border with Lebanon.
Nasrallah fully acknowledged that there are collaborator forces in Lebanon - Walid Jumblatt chief among them - as well as outside agitators like Uncle Sam's Ambassador, Jeffrey Feltman, who want to see Hizbullah, and therefore Lebanon, disarm unilaterially before one of the globe's military goliaths.
The resistance leader did not deny Israel's superiority in almost every strategic and military aspect. "Because of this superiority, Lebanon must consider the high risks in case it has no defensive means or strategy to deter the Israeli attacks or confront them," he said....

"Some political leaders do not agree that Israel is the enemy. Others believe we can rely on international protection," he added. "We believe Israel is still the enemy and our resistance proved that Israel can be defeated, while all other options have proven wrong for as long as Israel has existed.

"To merge the resistance into the classical Lebanese Army is not a realistic option because this will weaken the Lebanese position in facing the much superior Israeli Army. Our army can never match the Israeli Army equipment or its experience.
The interest on the part of both Uncle Sam and Apartheid Israel in having Hizbullah disarm is clear. Their well-armed resistance remains extremely problematic to those planning to attack Iran. That's why the New York Post is spouting nonsensical propaganda about their capabilities and why Uncle Sam has gone to such great lengths to enforce the illegal UN Resolution 1449.

Savage Jukebox: Immortal Technique's "4th Branch"

Here is a recent video from hip-hop artist Immortal Technique. His website biography tells us about his background:
Born in a military hospital in South America, Immortal Technique was brought to the United States in the early 80's while a civil war was breaking out in his native Peru. The US supported puppet democracy and Guerilla factions were locked in a bitter struggle which ended like most do in Latin America, with the military and economic aid of the State Dept. through channels like the CIA. Although he had escaped the belligerent poverty and social turmoil of life in the 3rd world, he was now residing in Harlem which had its own share of drama...
He... began to study in depth about the Revolutionary ideas that had caused a history of uprising in the indigenous community of his Native South America... Paroled in 1999, Immortal Technique returned to NYC and began a campaign to claim victory to what he had discovered he had a talent for; battling... Immortal Technique left the battle circuit and released his critically acclaimed Revolutionary Vol. 1.
His October 03 release of Vol. 2 included this song - "The 4th Branch" - that thoroughly exposes the savagery of Uncle Sam's corrupt imperialist media complex.

Surveying the Blogosphere

A number of great reports & analysis ignored in the Capitalist media have appeared in the Blogosphere of late.
  • Joshua Frank, writing in CounterPunch has an interesting interview with Ward Churchill exposing the hypocrisy of the Right-Wing footnote police clearly aiming to have him fired.

  • On his site, Thomas Paine's Corner, Dave Kimble has written an important piece entitled "Collapse of the Petrodollar Looming" which reported on Russian President Vladimir Putin's State of the Nation Address where he he announced Russia's intent to open a Russian oil bourse:
In his annual State of the Nation address to both houses of parliament on 10 May 2006, Novosti reports President Putin said that work on making the Rouble an internationally convertible currency would be completed by 1 July 2006, six months ahead of schedule. To promote the currency, he announced that an oil and gas stock exchange will be created in Russia, that would trade in Roubles....

Russia's oil exports represent 15.2% of the world's export trade in oil, making it a much more significant player than Iran, with 5.8% of export volumes. Russia also produces 25.8% of the world's gas exports, while Iran is still only entering this market as an exporter.
Writing in Uruknet, Mike Whitney has also written of this important development that could potentially dwarf the Iranian bourse set to open whenever Uncle Sam and Apartheid Israel launch their upcoming invasion.

  • Lenin's Tomb recently ran a great report debunking the fraudulent story, originally reported in the Canadian National Post, that Iran was forcing Jews to wear armbands. Could the original report have been the product of the State Department's $75,000,000 Ahmed Chalabi-style propaganda campaign against Iran?

  • Truth About Iraqis quotes a Pentagon report announcing that foreign mercinaries serving Uncle Sam's occupation in Iraq have received citizenship. If you fight and die for Empire, you're greeted with open arms. If you're an immigrant making poverty-wages, though, it's deportation or death.

  • Neo-CONNED News recently conducted an interview with Ibrahim Ebeid, an Editor with the Arab website, Al-Moharer.net, a site that frequently posts reports from the Iraqi Mujahideen.

Savage Pigwatch: NY Post Spins Hizbullah-NYC Yarn

Here's a letter to the New York Post;
The worst piece of paper on the east coast;
Matter of fact the whole state's.
Forty cents
in New York City;
Fifty cents elsewhere;

It makes no goddamn sense at all.

Public Enemy, "Letter to the New York Post"

On Tuesday, New York's famously absurdist government propaganda organ, The Post, published an uncorroborated piece of stenography under the guise of news. The bilge - headlined - "N.Y. HEZBOLLAH HUNT," cited unnamed and uncorroborated sources with the FBI, Justice Department, law enforcement, and 'intelligence' and claimed:
The Hezbollah terror group... may be planning to activate sleeper cells in New York and other big cities to stage an attack as the nuclear showdown with Iran heats up, sources told The Post.
Much like Judith Miller's reporting in the lead-up to Iraq, note how Niles Lathem, the Post's propagandist, demands no proof substantiating these accusations. He just repeats ludicrus assertions as fact. As is often the case with reports like these, the absence of facts hardly matter to a Neo-Fascist media on Sam's Plantation who reprint fairy tales like these without a second though it came came from a real reporter rather than a lapdog journalist. The 'report' continues:
The FBI and Justice Department have launched urgent new probes in New York and other cities targeting members of the Lebanese terror group.

Law-enforcement and intelligence officials told The Post that about a dozen hard-core supporters of Hezbollah have been identified in recent weeks as operating in the New York area.

Sources said the activities of these New York-based operatives are being monitored by FBI counterterrorism agents as part of a nationwide effort to prevent a possible terror strike if the confrontation with Iran over its nuclear program spins out of control.
Except for the parts that the FBI is spying on innocent people, Lathem's entire report is utter bullshit. As we have written previously, the New York Pigshop - and particularly it's chief Spook, David Cohen - have long-standing and intimite ties to Uncle Sam's Secret Police and a sordid history of fabricating claims similar to this one in order to justify the Pigs' criminality. Thus, we must assume that operations undertaken by Uncle Sam's secret police also involve the NYC Pigshop and likely plans to utilize their expertise in framing people up citing its own 'secret' evidence and trumped-up anonymous sources.

Palestinian Prime Minister says an Israeli Retreat to 1967 Borders will Bring Peace

In an interview with the pro-Apartheid Israeli daily, Ha'aretz, the Prime Minister of Palestine's government under occupation again restated the necessary steps for Apartheid Israel to have 'security'.
If Israel withdraws to the 1967 borders, peace will prevail and we will implement a cease-fire [hudna] for many years. Our government is prepared to maintain a long-term cease-fire with Israel.
Of course, the Apartheid government of Israel fully knows this. But they don't want peace. They prefer instead to steal Palestinian land, construct Apartheid walls, and bulldoze Palestinian homes.

And to acheive their ends, they pathologically murder Palestinians while collaborating with stooges in Fatah to foment civil war and crying about 'terrorism'.

Apartheid Israel Continues Onslaught Against Palestinian Civilians

On Sam's Plantation, defenders of Apartheid Israel's savage policies towards the Palestinian people often attempt to exonerate or defend their actions with racist innuendo and ad hominem attacks against the Palestinian people as a whole accusating them of 'terrorism'. Yet, when one examines the facts in the conflict over Palestine, one sees quite clearly that the source of most of the violence and terrorism eminates by the government of Apartheid Israel.

Underscoring the scope of the one-sided killing spree in Occupied Palestine, the IMEMC reports:
In the month of April, Israeli soldiers killed 37 Palestinians, including 6 children, in fourteen assassination attacks. Israeli missiles fired in airstrikes have killed children at home, at school, in cars and on the streets in Gaza.
On 21 May, Amin Abu Wardeh reported on one such murder for the Palestine News Network:
Israeli forces killed 48 year old Aisha Abu Muslim in eastern Nablus’ Balata Refugee Camp... Israeli soldiers shot the woman while she was in her home in the camp Sunday morning. Apparently she was near a window... Eyewitnesses report that Israeli forces opened heavy random fire, shooting the woman in the head.
This woman did nothing to deserve her fate. Yet, like many other innocent Palestinians, she became another victim of Apartheid Israel's ongoing ethnic cleansing campaign in Palestine. On Monday, 22 May, the Beirut Daily Star reported on this weekend's burial of two more women and a 4 year old child killed by an IOF helicoptor attack:
Thousands of mourners attended funerals Sunday for four victims of an Israeli air strike... including two women and a 4-year-old child. Many mourners demanded attacks on Israelis to avenge the death of Naima Amen, her daughter Hanan Amen, and her 4-year-old grandson Mohanad.
Simultaneous to these random acts of violence perpetrated on the Palestinian people by the Apartheid government of Israel, we learn from Nadav Shragai and Amos Harel in Ha'aretz that their theft of Palestinian land continues unabated:
GOC Central Command Yair Naveh on Thursday signed a military decree authorizing the expansion of the municipal boundaries of Betar Ilit by 500 dunams. The decision to expand the town, located in the West Bank southwest of Jerusalem, was made by former defense minister Shaul Mofaz and was approved by his successor, Amir Peretz.
This report notes that Peretz, Labor leader and Minister of Defense in the new government, will carry out the same genocidal policies advocated by their Likud party 'opponents'. The same report went on to say that:
Over the past few weeks, three similar decrees were issued for the expansion of Jewish settlements: Givat Ze'ev, north of Jerusalem; Oranit, on the Green Line in the Samaria region; and Maskiot, in the northern Jordan valley. Maskiot is slated to absorb the evacuees from the Gush Katif settlement of Shirat Hayam.
From home bulldozings and land theft, to the crushing of free speech, to arbitrary detention of political leaders to assassinations, to random, arbitrary murder, the systemic racism and violence against Palestinians manifests itself comprehensivly throughout Occupied Palestine. We cannot expect Apartheid Israel's defenders to shun their relativism in light of these facts, because their defense of the Zionism transcends facts.

We must, however, defend the right of all Palestinian people to resist their oppressor in the same way that we must defend the right of Iraqis and Hatians and Africans on Sam's plantation to defend themselves from the same dynamic and savage force of tyranny.

  • US soldier reported killed by Resistance bomb in Bayji.
  • Resistance mortars bring down US observation town near Iranian border, reportedly killing two US Marines.
What follows is the full 10 May report from Ramadi, where Uncle Sam launched yet another assault. The attack is noteworthy both because it represents yet another effort made by Uncle Sam to pacify al-Anbar province and because they launched it without mentioning it to captive media affiliates in Baghdad.
US offensive against ar-Ramadi begins at dawn Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces began their anticipated new offensive against the people of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, at dawn on Wednesday.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that more than 500 US troops with air cover from helicopter gunships and warplanes and accompanied by soldiers in the Iraqi puppet army launched their assault on the city from several directions.

They began their campaign against the north of the city, specifically the areas around ar-Ramadi General Hospital and then spread out to the center of the city, carrying out house-to-house raids and arrests of local residents. The correspondent reported that US warplanes put up a show of military strength in the sky over the city, firing four rockets at empty houses that harmed neither local civilians nor Resistance fighters.

As usual in such offensives, ar-Ramadi has been surrounded with no one allowed in or out. Puppet government offices and departments and schools and colleges are closed.

At the start of their campaign, US troops used loudspeakers and distributed written declarations in the city, demanding that local people assist them in finding members of al-Qa‘idah in return for receiving American “protection” and “security” and the rebuilding of their city. The American declarations threatened that coming hours and days would be difficult for the city’s residents if they do not cooperate with the American forces. The American statement said that the local people would be treated as “supporters of terrorism” if they fail to cooperate with the US invaders.

The correspondent reported that the city was without activity, other than that of the US and Iraqi puppet troops who are combing a large number of neighborhoods and extensive parts of the city.

A Resistance commander, meanwhile, told Mafkarat al-Islam, “we are now arranging our ranks and preparing ourselves for a battle that, if it breaks out, only God knows how long it will last.”

US warplanes rocket ar-Ramadi train station.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier US warplanes rocketed the area around the ar-Ramadi train station in the northeast of the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that one of the American fighter-bombers fired two rockets at the railroad station. The railroad station, which is used by students and employees commuting from the east to the west of the city, was completely destroyed.

The correspondent wrote that the American raids, searches, and arrests were still going on at the time of reporting and that so far the Resistance had launched no attacks in response.

Americans arrest five puppet police for passing secrets to the Resistance.

In a bulletin posted at 11:25am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier the US occupation troops in ar-Ramadi had arrested five puppet policemen in the city on charges that they leaked security information to the Iraqi Resistance.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the ar-Ramadi puppet police station who asked not to be identified as saying that an American force of five Humvees stormed the puppet police station and arrested five puppet policemen, three of them officers, on charges of passing security information on the movements of the US and Iraqi puppet military forces to the Iraqi Resistance.

The source said that the Americans took off the officers’ rank insignia, seized their personal weapons, and then put bags over their heads and took them away to the US al-Warrar base west of the city.

US airplanes rocked Consumer Cooperative Society, killing four persons.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier US warplanes rocketed the Consumer Cooperative Society offices in northwestern ar-Ramadi. Located at in the Consumer Cooperative complex was a vegetable market and a market for household appliances, but both have been vacant for months because of the situation in the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American attack was part of th American offensive against the city population launched at dawn Wednesday. The city hospital reported that the American raid on the Consumer Cooperative killed four Iraqis but the correspondent was unable to find out whether the four were Resistance fighters or civilians.

Resistance launches counter attacks on American Marines in ar-Ramad at midday, having allowed them to get into narrow lanes in the center of the city.

In a dispatch posted at 1pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier fierce fighting erupted in various parts of ar-Ramadi as Resistance fighters launched coordinated counter attacks on American troops engaged since dawn in a campaign against the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the fighting was increasing in intensity at the time of reporting in the areas of the residential apartments, and the neighborhood of al-Mu‘allimin, and in the al-Mal‘ab (playing field) area of the city.

US posts 120 snipers atop roofs in ar-Ramadi trying to prevent Resistance fighters from maneuvering.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Shaykh Abu Ihasan ad-Dulaymi as saying that the American snipers in such large numbers made it extremely difficult for Resistance fighters to move around and maneuver.

Ad-Dulaymi said that nevertheless, the invader troops were doomed to fail in this their latest offensive. “They haven’t said any thing about in their media or announcements because they don’t want any more disasters or embarrassments as happened to them in their other operations,” Shaykh ad-Dulaymi said. “The world would come back and stump them with the question ‘what have you accomplished in that operation?’ So this time they have launched an offensive unannounced, because their last operation in Samarra’ and the shame that came to them as a result of their miserable failure there made them launch their raids and offensives in this city without any media fanfare or show of force as happened in the past. The fact is that they were not able to do more than they have done today in ar-Ramadi this is the limit of their total strength,” Shaykh ad-Dulaymi told Mafkarat al-Islam.
