Mumia, MOVE, and Michael Vick

Two noteworthy radio pieces overlap in interesting ways:
In Mumia's latest Prison Radio broadcast, he addresses the fanatic outcry over Uncle Sam's conspiracy charges against Michael Vick. He notes the the striking contrast between the Vanilla Sam's venom towards Vick and the apathy over the brutal bombing of the MOVE headquarters on 13 May 1985, when Philadelphia's Pigs used C4, tear gas, explosives, and more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition to murder 11 men, women, and babies - along with several dogs.

The second interview features Ramona Africa, the only surviving adult member of the MOVE bombing. She gives an historical background to the attacks on her family beginning with the capture and frame-up of 9 MOVE members in 1978, when the Philadelphia Pigs assaulted the MOVE headquarters for the first time.
In different ways, both of these interviews illuminate the ongoing struggle for freedom on Uncle Sam's Plantation. They are both worth your time.

Savage Graveyard: Iraqi Muqawama Bleeds Uncle Sam's Sadistic Child Torturers

The self-parodying neo-fascist blogosphere continues to repeat the same claims of 'success' and 'victory' that Uncle Sam's official propagandists in Iraq have raised there for more than 4 years.

I suppose that's easy to do when you're not dying!

As evidence of Uncle Sam's decisive 'victory', they point to the fact that He has crammed more than 20,000 Iraqis into Torture Chambers and Concentration Camps, including more than 750 Iraqi children!
Military officials said that the American occupation army has arrested 750 children, aged between 11 to 17 years...

The American army had detained by February, with growing numbers of troops in Iraq, approximately 16 thousand people. Since that time, the number of detainees in American prisons increased by 50% to nearly 24 thousand prisoners.
Much like the 'body count' figures used to validate their claims of 'success' in Vietnam, Uncle Sam uses stats like this one - number of innocent Iraqis held in its gulags - as evidence of 'victory'.

Unfortunately for Him, fabricated definitions and terrorist attacks on civilians cannot whitewash military defeat. As Uncle Sam proudly announced this news, material reality again reared its head in the form of a video posted to the internet of a Iraqi resistance attack Abu-Graib prison that destroyed the guard towers (~2:30 into the video).

In addition to the proud admission that Uncle Sam's Gulag was buzzing with child victims even as it was under attack, His War Propagandists admitted yesterday that 10 Storm-Troopers have found their way into the Savage Graveyard at the hands of the Iraqi Resistance. Three died on the ground in restive Nineveh province (scene of the Biblical fairy tale about Jonah) and two more in Baghdad. Five more bit the dust when their Chinook helicopter went down in Resistance-held Anbar province.

Meanwhile, AFP reported that the Resistance has successfully targeted a group of high-level collaborators from Iraq's puppet government:
The governor and police chief of Iraq's southern Shiite city of Diwaniyah were killed when a bomb attack ripped through their convoy on Saturday...

"The hospital in Diwaniyah received the governor and police chief, and three other corpses from their security detail," said Doctor Hamid Gaati, head of the health directorate in Diwaniyah...

A senior security official in Diwaniyah said they were killed in a multiple bomb attack on their convoy.

"More than 10 IEDs (roadside bombs) targeted a convoy of the governor and the chief of police on their way back from Afak to the centre of the city, killing the governor of Diwaniyah and the chief of police," said the official.
Falsify as they might, Uncle Sam's neo-fascist apologists simply can deny neither the reality of the Resistance's growing strength in Iraq - as evidenced by the sophisticated military operations outlined above - or the utter depravity of Uncle Sam's demoralized military. For four years, lacking a fraction of the intelligence needed to defeat a guerrilla insurgency, Uncle Sam has marched through Iraq torturing women and murdering children. In doing so, they have extinguished every conceivable excuse for their failure to subdue the heroic Resistance who, day after day, does more to combat Uncle Sam's Imperial machine than anyone else on earth.

And while apologetics and myth-making may have the desired effect of propagandizing those living on Uncle Sam's Plantation, they fail to subdue the resounding cry heard throughout Iraq:

Down with Imperial Occupation!
Long Live the Muqawama!

Uncle Sam's Frame-Up of Jose Padilla Continues

In a post entitled "No Evidence, No Problem" at the blog Left i on the News, Comrade Eli Stephens has written instructively about the bizarre case of Jose Padilla, the citizen kidnapped by Uncle Sam and held without charge for 5 years in a Concentration Camp as a "military combatant," a confected rhetorical device used by Uncle Sam's WarOn Terrorists to justify ignoring the constitution.

Surely one can easily recall how Padilla was kidnapped on the basis of a claim by John Ashcroft (see video below) that he planned to use a "dirty bomb"?

Well, his silly claim is no longer part of the case - it was, however, necessary for the propaganda campaign needed to establish a precedent. In other words, Padilla's another victim of Vanilla Justice.

Release Kenneth Foster NOW!
DOWN with Uncle Sam's Police State!

On 30 August, Uncle Sam and the state of Texas plan to use an arbitrary legal technicality called the "law of parties" to murder author and poet Kenneth Foster for the crime of driving a car near the scene of a murder.

Predictably, Foster's court-appointed lawyer did little to defend him, paying lip-service to both his categorical innocence and the extenuating circumstances of Foster's case. For this he no-doubt earned an assist from Uncle Sam and furthered his career.

Like most death-penalty cases, Foster's case has nothing at all to do with the crime itself and everything to do with Uncle Sam's system of Vanilla Justice. He uses this form of legalized murder today just as he used lynching during Jim Crow - to send a message and intimidate the oppressed, often through its arbitrariness, about who has power.

In that respect, Uncle Sam's murders here on the Plantation serve the same function as his concentration camps abroad. These modes of coercion embody the perverted use of justice in a Police State.

To add your name to the growing chorus of people who want to see Foster released, visit the Save Kenneth blog or click on the title above for more information.

Release POCC Minister of Defense Aaron Patterson Today!

Earlier today, Uncle Sam held a sentencing hearing for Political Prisoner Aaron Patterson in Chicago.

Stephanie Joy Tisdale summarizes the trumped-up case against Patterson in The Liberator:
Aaron Patterson’s journey with the political structure of Chicago began in April 1986, when an elderly couple was stabbed to death and he was arrested as a possible suspect... Patterson was tortured during his “interrogation”—including severe beatings and suffocation... [He] etched into a bench while in police custody: “Aaron 4/30 I lie about murders. Police threaten me with violence. Slapped and suffocated me with plastic. No lawyer or dad. No phone. Signed false statement to murders.” (Ironically, the message would remain in the bench close to 20 years later and would help to further prove that Patterson was, in fact, tortured)....

“Chicago is the torture capital,” says Chairman Fred Hampton, Jr. “Chicago’s Area 2 Violent Crimes Unit is called the ‘House of Screams’ due to the torture of prisoners including everything from electric shock on sexual organs to being hand-cuffed to radiators and doused with water.” The chief coordinator of Area 2 was Lt. Jon Burge “who’s name came to stand for police brutality” (Chicago Tribune). Burge was a military policeman during the Vietnam War and later joined the Chicago Police force. He was fired in February 1993 after being implicated for the torture of Andrew Wilson in 1982. Subsequently, more than 100 victims came forward with allegations of torture by Burge or his subordinates: Aaron Patterson was one of them. Throughout the 1970’s and 80’s Jon Burge, fresh out of Vietnam, extorted “confessions” from detainees using tactics like suffocation with typewriter covers, the use of cattle prods, electric shocks, beatings and "Russian Roulette..." In 1990, after years of complaints and public pressure, a formal investigation of Burge and his detectives finally took place and he was let go. To date, Jon Burge resides in Florida where he receives a pension and benefits.
A pension & benefits for a sadistic torturer? Now that's Vanilla Justice! Tisdale continues:
As the case against Burge defined itself, Cook County State's Atty. Richard Devine attempted to bribe Patterson and others—offering to reduce their sentences if they admitted guilt and dropped their claims against Burge. Patterson refused, stating in a Chicago Tribune interview: “Much as I'd like to get out of here, I'm going to stay until we get this thing right. I'm pretty much certain they know now I didn't do it, but they're trying to wiggle their way out of it... But I'm not so frantic that I just want to get out. If you're innocent, you've got to make your stand..."

Aaron Patterson would remain on death row until January 2003, when Illinois Gov. George Ryan pardoned him and three other death row inmates on the grounds that their confessions were a result of police torture... Upon release, Patterson became a central figure in the campaign to expose Burge and the impropriety of the Chicago political structure....

Patterson continued to advocate on behalf of tortured prisoners and victims of the Chicago political structure, many of whom remained on death row. He would go on to file a civil suit (which is still pending) and to run for office, while also working as the Minister of Defense for the POCC. “Aaron ran for State Representative in the 2nd District and on his platform he used the African Anti-Terrorism Bill,” says Chairman Fred. And that is when things took a turn for the worse..."

“Operation Revolving Door” was launched that same day by Joe Gorman, Jr... which would result in the arrest of Aaron Patterson in August 2004. The charge: attempt to purchase weapons and narcotics from an undercover informant... Since then, Aaron Patterson has been incarcerated based on the testimony of police informant Mario Fox, who was himself incarcerated for cocaine possession and subsequently released from jail in order to work as an informant.

Aaron Patterson’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 20th, 2007. It is important to remember that Aaron Patterson was pardoned in 2003 and released from jail only to be rearrested (on hearsay) less than two years later... As with Mumia Abu-Jamal and so many unjustly incarcerated individuals, Aaron Patterson needs and requires our support, our energy and our commitment to freedom for all.

Send love to Aaron Patterson:

The Case of Victor Toro:
Uncle Sam picks up where Pinochet left Off

While hardly surprising, the news that on 6 July child pornographers working in Uncle Sam's Department of Homeland Security had torn long-time community organizer Victor Toro from his seat on a passenger train and arrested him on trumped-up 'immigration' charges serves as a depressing reminder of the direction in which the struggle for immigrant rights has moved.

In his piece on Toro in the New York Times, Anthony Ramirez summarizes his political 'odyssey' of nearly 40 years.
It began in the 1970s when he was a political prisoner in the jails of Gen. Augusto Pinochet in Chile, veered for a time into Europe and Mexico, then into New York City, where he became known for more than two decades of community and political activism...

When he was a left-wing political activist, General Pinochet’s regime tortured him after the coup that toppled Salvador Allende on Sept. 11, 1973, he said.

Both he and Nieves Ayress, now 56, who later became his wife, have said they had electrodes attached to their genitals in Chilean jails.
As a dutiful New York Times propagandist, Ramirez avoids any mention of Uncle Sam's complicity in the rampant torture carried out during the Pinochet dictatorship. He continues:
In 1976, he fled Chile... For years, Mr. Toro went from country to country, finding himself at last in Mexico.

In 1984, he... crossed the border into the United States at El Paso, settling later in the Bronx....

Mr. Toro and Ms. Ayress... started Vamos a la Peña del Bronx in 1987, a storefront group that provided clothing and food for poor people, help with immigrants’ problems, shelter for battered women and health education for those who were H.I.V. positive.

In 1998, the group won an award and a $50,000 grant from Union Square Awards in Manhattan for community service. “We were looking for groups that were operating on pure passion but who had no economic resources,” said Iris Morales, director of the philanthropy.
Once DHS saw the grave and gathering threat posed by the longtime homeless advocate and AIDS activist, they took action. Bang-up work, fellas!

Last week, Toro posted bail but the charges remain and deportation still looms.

Declared dead by the government of Chile and under attack by Uncle Sam here on the Plantation, the next step for Toro is unclear. Thanks to his work in The Struggle, he has many comrades on whom he can rely. But one mustn't harbor illusions that this support will make a request to Uncle Sam for asylum more likely to be granted. If anything, the opposite may be true. His popularity in the community has grown out of his anti-imperialist politics, and just as the decision to torture Toro in the 1970s ultimately rested with Uncle Sam, so too does the decision to torture him by other means today.

Slave Revolt Radio: Facism in America - Simple as a Jog in the Park: The Central Park Jogging Case'

In September of 2002 when the Central Park rapist and violent assaulter Martias Raye's admitted to being the lone attacker of Trisha Meili. Many thought that police reforms would be implamented in the face of five black and Latino teens being framed up and convicted in this racially explosive case in April of 1989 in New York.

Yet the truth that was exposed about the corruption of the State brought no real changes locally or nationally. Even though the frame up of the teens rung in many draconian police command society laws, tactics, and mind sets. In this (Beyond the Shadow) segment called 'Fascism in America will be as simple as a jog in the park: The Central Park jogging case'. Slave Revolt deals with this tale of horror in this horrible American experiment.

Listen and hear how wretched opportunistic savages in American politics, from the world of capitalistic money, to sick assistant attorney's like Linda Fairstein, mixed in with the iron fisted brutes (the police) took advantage of this case of lies and frame up. Find out how calls for justice for the slaves and their defenders keep falling on deaf ears in a sick society that only hears the vocal tunes of the fascist. The drum beat of the goose stepping 'Order'. And the sights and screams of the modern day lynch mobbers of innocent Black and Latino teens. Which for many in America is as simple as a jog in the park.

Slave Revolt Radio: DOLLAR$ & CHAIN$, Part Three - Restructuring America Into a Permanent War Command Society

The U.S. Empire is in a stage of permanent war for 'Full Spectrum Dominance' in today's world arena. This is not based off of one group of administrators (Republicans) for the 'Order' as oppose to another (Democrats). The laws and attacks on the population in America is not for purely sadistic reasons. It's in part to condition the public and the American economy into a permanent war command society.

Slave Revolt explores these issues in a (Ruins of Empire) segment called 'Dollar$ and Chain$ 3: The restructuring of America into a permanent war command society'. From the war on 'illegal' immigration, to domestic surveillance, to indefinite imprisonment, the policies being managed by our enemies are to further discipline the population in a permanent war command mode. It's up to the slaves to blaze up a mightier revolt against these privatized war command operators and their systems. Or be chewed up in the jaws of this beast.
