Cheney told Libby to Leak

Writing in National Journal, Murray Waas reports:
I. Lewis (Scooter) Libby, testified to a federal grand jury that he had been "authorized" by Cheney and other White House "superiors" in the summer of 2003 to disclose classified information to journalists to defend the Bush administration's use of prewar intelligence in making the case to go to war with Iraq, according to attorneys familiar with the matter, and to court records.
Waas's piece is another in a long line of smoking gun stories implicating high White House officials in impeachable offenses. In a free society that respects the rule of law, this story, alongside Jason Leopold's damning piece in Truthout detailing the high-level White House conspiracy to delete damaging e-mails, seals the fate of the whole Bush-Cheney cabal.

But we're living on Sam's plantation, where a crooked liar like Libby does not have to appear in court until 2007 and where people like Cheney never suffer for their crimes.
